Part of rehabilitating your cat involves keeping a cool head and staying relaxed in stressful situations.

In this 20 minute meditation, I will take you through a mindfulness body scan to help you focus and relax.

My office understands the importance of protecting your personal information. To help you understand how I am doing that, I have outlined below how the office would disclose your information.

This office will collect, use and disclose only necessary information about you for the following purposes:

• To collect information for cat behavioural assessments.

• To collect fees relating to the services offered by FEARLESS FELINES and BEVERLY BEDARD, Cat Behaviour Coach.

• To provide a means of communication for such information as seminars, workshops and newsletters or to provide handouts and additional related information via email or by social media.

Disclosure:

• To the client’s veterinarian/animal health practitioner(s)

• To colleagues of BEVERLY BEDARD, Cat Behaviour Coach, such as a cat behaviourist, cat nutritionist, veterinarian, for the purposes of referral or additional support(all client confidentiality is maintained).

• To an emergency service if one's life could be endangered.

• To animal welfare(SPCA) or other relevant organization, should an animal be in a situation where they are perceived to be abused or neglected.

• To Public Health Officers for the purpose of contact tracing in the event of possible Covid-19 exposure(Relevant only if meeting in person).

I will only share your information with your consent. Storage, retention and destruction of your personal information complies with existing legislation and privacy protocols.

I am trained in the appropriate uses and protection of your information.

Cat Behavioural Coaching Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability

I hereby acknowledge and agree:

1. The purpose of cat behaviour coaching is to improve the mental health and well-being of my cat(s) through education and the use of behavioural modification training, including, positive reinforcement, clicker training, and feline environmental enrichment. Fearless Felines and Beverly Bedard, Cat Behaviour Coach, does not diagnose diseases, disorders or conditions, nor make nutritional recommendations.

2. Fearless Felines and Beverly Bedard, is not a licensed animal practitioner, or veterinarian.

3. As part of the Cat Behaviour Coaching Services, I may be asked to provide information about my cat, concerning their physical habits, medical history, moods, energy levels, likes and dislikes, and lifestyle. I may also be asked personal family dynamic questions. This information is collected to enable the Cat Behaviour Coach to: (i) assess my knowledge of cat behaviour, (ii) educate me about the benefits of sound cat behavioural practices and (iii) recommend changes to improve my cat’s behaviour and overall mental well-being. The Cat Behaviour Coach, Beverly Bedard will hold this information in confidence and will not release or disclose this information to any other person, without my prior consent, except as required by applicable law.

4. If the Cat Behaviour Coach, Beverly Bedard, suspects the existence of disease, disorder or condition, I will be informed of this suspicion. However, I acknowledge this is not a diagnosis or conclusion about the state of my cat’s health and that I am directed to promptly consult a licensed Veterinarian about any suspected problems.

5. If I have not previously consulted a licensed Veterinarian about my cat’s disease, disorder or condition, I acknowledge that I am directed to promptly do so. I am not to alter or discontinue treatments prescribed by a licensed Veterinarian, or other licensed health professional without consulting the individual who prescribed the treatment.

6. In providing Cat Behaviour Coaching Services to me, the Cat Behaviour Coach, Beverly Bedard, is relying upon the truth, accuracy and completeness of all information I have provided to her. Any recommendations I follow for changes in my cat’s behaviour are entirely my responsibility.

7. Beverly Bedard is in no way liable for my cat’s health or safety. Beverly Bedard is in no way liable for any person or animal living in, or visiting my household’s, health or safety. I also acknowledge that although the Cat Behaviour Coach has strict sanitization and disinfectant protocols in place, there is always a risk of exposure to Covid-19 and/or other contagions. I throughly understand these risks as a client of Beverly Bedard and Fearless Felines. 

8. In consideration of my participation in the Cat Behaviour Coaching Services, I hereby accept all risks to my cat’s health, including injury or death that may result from such participation and I hereby release the Cat Behaviour Coach, Beverly Bedard, on my behalf and on behalf of my personal representatives, estate, heirs, next of kin, and assigns from any and all costs, claims, causes of action and damages arising from any and all illness or injury to my person, including my cat’s death, or my death, that may result from or occur as a result of my participation in the Cat Behaviour Coaching Services, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

9. 24 hours notice is required for cancelling appointments. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of your appointment time, will be subject to a $50.00 fee. If you fail to show up to a scheduled call, your session will count as being fulfilled.

10. I understand that any sessions I undertake at Fearless Felines are undertaken of my own free will. I accept that the ultimate responsibility for my cat’s behaviour is my own and that Fearless Felines is here to support me in this. I understand that my Coach reserves the right to determine which cases fall outside their scope of practice, in which event an appropriate referral will be recommended. I hereby agree to assume full responsibility for any manner of loss, injury, claim or damage whatsoever, known or unknown, incurred as a result of same and I, my heirs, executors, administrators or assigns for any loss, injury, claim or damage sustained as a result of my attendance and/or participation. I have read the above release and waiver of liability, and fully understand its contents and voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated.
